Well, that's one way to get the morning off to a good start -- I checked my email, only to find a message from the wonderful Gina that my historical short story, "Frances, Queen of the Ocean," has been nominated in the Preditors and Editors poll. It really has. Right here:

If you've read the story and enjoyed it, please do consider voting. I've always had a special soft spot for this story, and am thrilled to be nominated. Before my second cup of tea, too, which is the one in which my brain arrives. Makes up for the minus five degree weather.

You got my vote, Anna :-). Congrats and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :-).

Oh and I read through your last post about Billy Joel and wanted to let you know that I bought tickets two tickets for the hubby & I for Valentines Day to go see Moving Out- the musical :-). Spent a pretty penny on the tickets but hey we both love his music and it's rare that we get to go out :-) Will let you know how it was. I adore Billy too the man is such a genius storyteller with his lyrics :-).

Thanks, Marguerite! I appreciate your vote, and woooohooo about getting to see "Moving Out." The man is a bloody genius. I think it was either last year or the year before when the lead female dancer in Moving Out was nominated for a Tony for Best Leading Actress, a first for a dancer, as the show has zero dialog-- it's all dance, to Billy Joel's songs. I expect a full report when you go see it.
